Job summary

Magellan Health in Edwards AFB, CA is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families on base. You will provide one-on-one guidance, group briefings, and referrals as needed to support financial readiness.

Responsibilities include developing spending plans, creating educational materials, coordinating DoD-aligned workshops, and utilizing virtual counseling tools when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Certifications AFC, CFP, or ChFC required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Coordinate, publicize and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Develop spending plans for extended absences and life events.
• Utilize virtual counseling via web-based or video platforms as authorized.
• Ensure compliance with DoD protocols and OCI requirements.
