Job summary

Magellan Federal is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to provide comprehensive financial counseling services at Whiteman AFB, MO. The role includes one-on-one counseling, group briefings, and referrals within DoD guidelines and coordination with installation leadership. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 3+ years in financial counseling, U.S.

citizenship, fluent English, and optional bilingual ability. AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of financial counseling experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
Assist with budgeting, including spending plans for extended absences.
Develop and distribute informational financial materials and resources.
Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
Use virtual counseling or secure online communication methods as needed.
Follow DoD and program office protocols for disclosures and confidentiality.
Collaborate with installation leadership and DoD points of contact to align with needs.
Participate in training, quality improvement, and contract activities.
