Magellan Health, Inc. is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor in Fresno, CA to provide comprehensive financial counseling services to service members and their families on military installations.

The role emphasizes education, counseling, and leadership collaboration with installation POC and DoD guidelines, requiring a Bachelor's degree or higher and relevant AFC/CFP/ChFC credentials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• If required by the contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass OCI disclosures per contract requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinates, publicizes and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling or electronic modes of communication.
• Manages duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicates with leadership and participates in supervision.
• Participates in regular in-services/training and contract activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
