Job summary

Magellan Federal - AFSC in Dayton, OH is seeking a skilled Financial Counselor to provide personal financial counseling and manage a range of services for military members and their families. You will develop spending plans, deliver educational materials, and coordinate with installation leaders to ensure program adherence and impact.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, U.S. citizenship, fluent English, and potential bilingual capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred if required for contract.
• Certifications AFC, CFP, or ChFC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for extended deployments.
• Develop and disseminate financial materials and offer PFM classes/workshops.
• Coordinate with DoD and installation POCs to ensure program scope and needs are met.
• Deliver virtual counseling as required and participate in training and supervision.
