Job summary

The U.S. Coast Guard in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a Business Analyst (GS-0301-11/12) to provide payroll and personnel systems expertise for automated payroll and HR processing across active duty, reserve, and retired personnel data.

You will evaluate regulatory changes, support policy implementation, and collaborate on software/procedures to ensure accurate payroll processing. This is a DHS agency position within PPC Planning and Process Improvement Branch in Topeka.

Responsibilities

• Provide military personnel and payroll business analyst expertise for automation of payroll and personnel systems.
• Interpret and evaluate legislative/regulatory changes and assist in policy implementation.
• Support development and maintenance of automated payroll and personnel systems for the Coast Guard.
• Advise on software and procedures to support payroll and personnel system development.
• Analyze wide range of payroll and personnel business process requirements using requirements tools.
