Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor at Grissom Army Reserve Base, IN. The role provides one-on-one and group financial counseling to service members and their families, develops spending plans, and prepares educational materials and workshops per DoD guidance.

The candidate should have 3+ years of financial counseling experience, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination), U.S. citizenship, and, if required, English/Spanish bilingual ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree with 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Certifications AFC, CFP, or ChFC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Develop spending plans for extended absences and provide budgeting guidance.
• Coordinate, publicize and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Utilize virtual counseling methods when required by DoD and contract.
