Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor at Camp Grayling, MI. You will provide counseling to service members and families, develop spending plans, and deliver financial education workshops on topics across the military lifecycle.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination), 3+ years in financial counseling, U.S. citizenship and fluent English; Spanish bilingualism may be required. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
• If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and provide informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and deliver personal financial management classes/workshops.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling modes when authorized.
• Adhere to DoD protocols for duty to warn.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision and training.
• Participate in contract activities and quality improvement efforts.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
