Job summary

Magellan Health in Nashville, TN is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to provide comprehensive financial counseling to military service members and their families on assigned installations. You will educate, counsel, and refer participants within DoD guidelines and coordinate with POCs across branches.

The role requires 3+ years of financial counseling, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and eligibility to work in the U.S. Bilingual abilities may be required for some assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; may consider an associate degree with 4 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences and deployments.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials for service members and families.
• Coordinate and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
