Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor in Portland, OR, to deliver comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families on military installations. The role includes one-on-one sessions, group presentations, and referrals, with virtual options as needed.

You will develop spending plans, coordinate with POC and leadership, and provide DoD-compliant financial education materials across the installation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; alternative combinations considered per policy.
3+ years of financial counseling experience.
U.S. citizen; fluent English; bilingual English/Spanish if required by contract.
Able to obtain favorable Tier 2 investigation; pass OCI process.
One of AFC, CFP, or ChFC certifications.

Responsibilities

Provide full range of personal financial counseling to service members and families at military installations.
Conduct one-on-one counseling, briefings, and referrals.
Develop spending plans and conduct financial management workshops.
Create educational materials and deliver virtual counseling as needed.
Coordinate with installation POCs and leadership to meet program scope.
