Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families at military installations. This role includes individual counseling, group workshops, briefings, and referral services to support financial wellbeing in almost all military life stages.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of experience, US citizenship, fluent English, and relevant AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
3+ years of financial counseling experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish if required by contract.
Must obtain favorable adjudication for OCI process.
Certifications AFC, CFP, or ChFC are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide coverage in short-term, surge and on demand situations for military needs.
Deliver personal financial counseling to service members and families at installations.
Offer one-on-one counseling, briefings, and referrals outside counseling sessions.
Develop and distribute financial materials and conduct PFM classes/workshops.
Coordinate with installation POC and DoD/FINRED requirements and participate in supervision.
Handle duty to warn situations per DoD protocol.
