Job summary

Beacon seeks a kitchen worker to support a military dining facility, preparing and portioning meals and maintaining sanitation standards. You will set up service counters, monitor temperatures, and ensure meals are presented well for customers.

The role requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety protocols. Education includes a high school diploma; culinary training and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary arts training or vocational training preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification required.
• Prior commercial kitchen or large-group cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food according to guidelines with temperature checks.
• Set up dining areas and service counters; restock items.
• Maintain HACCP procedures and log basic production data.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and dining areas.
• Assist with cleaning, waste disposal, and stocking heavy supplies.
• Serve cafeteria-style portions with attention to presentation.
