Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Community Resource Coordinator to support the resilience and readiness of service members and families by coordinating community and family support programs. You will build peer support networks, expand access to resources, conduct outreach, and collaborate with leadership and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human/social services or related field, or four years’ experience in providing social service education or coordination services.
• Specialized training on peer support counseling, community resources and referrals, and suicide prevention.
• Knowledge of best practices in peer support counseling and suicide prevention; familiarity with DoW, Services and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee peer support networks for their assigned commands.
• Recruit active duty and family member peer support counselors; ensure vetted and trained per USSOCOM CRC standards.
• Collect and report data for formative and outcome evaluations of peer support programs and community-based services.
• Develop needs-based programming to service specific demographic groups and locations.
• Maintain awareness of emergency response protocols and DoW resources such as Military OneSource and MFLC.
