Job summary

Leidos is seeking Outreach Assistants to support Military OneSource events and outreach. The role requires US citizenship, base access within 40 miles, and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. You will educate service members and families about resources and coordinate outreach at installations.

The position emphasizes engagement, professional presentation, and connection of military communities with critical resources, with pay at $40/hr on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
• Active duty, National Guard, Reserve, military spouse, retiree, or DoD civilian affiliation required and must have access to installations.
• Minimum two years of customer service, outreach, community engagement, or related support.
• Strong knowledge of military culture, family lifestyles, and command structures.
• Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to lift and transport outreach materials up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Military OneSource Program at installation and community outreach events when the Field Consultant is unavailable.
• Educate Service members, families, leadership, and service providers on resources and services.
• Conduct installation-level community capacity-building activities and connect program resources with military communities.
• Identify approved family programs and resources for inclusion in the community resource finder.
• Document outreach efforts and report gaps to inform program improvements.
