Responsibilities

  • Networks with military bases to maintain and build relationships; establishes a rapport with the military personnel and prospect future Universal Technical Institute students.
  • Conducts educational and motivational presentations to interested individuals to pursue higher education and potentially attend Universal Technical Institute.
  • Uses all marketing and recruiting tools to get the Universal Technical Institute story in front of all prospects.
  • Effectively addresses potential students’ concerns to ensure that all prospects receive the full Universal Technical Institute story and are aware of their career opportunities.
  • Conducts follow up though out the year with potential students
  • Maintains knowledge of Universal Technical Institute programs, financing options and other pertinent information in order to answer prospective student questions during a presentation.
  • Maintains travel logs and reports in order to track the number of visits and leads generated.
  • Adheres to all regulatory compliance criteria and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Overview

UTI's Military Admissions Representatives work to change the world, one life at a time, by getting students in the classroom and starting them on their journey of reaching their career dreams. Working within a designated geographical territory of military bases, a Military Admissions Representative will conduct career presentations, interview prospective students, and more - all in an effort to find passionate, motivated students who have a desire to learn and develop their skills in one of our training facilities. The ideal candidate for this position will have a customer-focused, extroverted style that can enliven, engage, motivate and positively impact individuals. One should enjoy making connections and communicating with people while proactively establishing relationships as well as following established guidelines and procedures. One must also work independently in a fast paced and results oriented environment while prioritizing their schedules to maximize time.

Quaifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Experience with public speaking preferred
  • Military and recruiting experience preferred
  • 2 years sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong presentation and sales skills

  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Ability to work independently

  • Occasionally (less than 40% of workday)
    • Use hearing and sight (both near and far vision) to operate a motor vehicle
    • Safely drive either a personally owned, or company, vehicle
    • Lift and maneuver sales presentation materials (less than 50 lbs)
  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
  • This position is designated as Hybrid (combination of on campus / on site and remote); Employees must meet minimum technical standards for eligibility and participation. Work environments may include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.
  • Overnight and/or Local travel required (up to 50%)
