Outreach Development Corp. seeks a Floor Counselor (Per Diem) based at the Mens Residential Center in Brentwood, NY.

Responsibilities include individual and group sessions, documentation in the EHR, and adherence to OASAS policies.

Qualifications

• CASAC-T, CASAC certification required.
• 2–3 years of experience with substance use disorders.
• 1–2 years of experience with co-occurring disorders.
• Experience working in an OASAS-licensed facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual sessions consistent with client need, person-centered care and best practices.
• Facilitate group sessions on topics including substance use, relapse prevention, trauma, life skills, stages of change.
• Document all service delivery in the EHR promptly and per standards.
• Deescalate client crises when appropriate and report incidents to site managers.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Position: FloorCounselor (Per Diem)

The Counselor is responsible for the delivery and implementation of clinical series to a population of individuals who experience substance misuse and symptoms of mental health disorders. The Counselor serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and reports to the Program Coordinator, Assistant Director, or Director.

This position is based at our Men's Residential Center located at 998 Crooked Hill Road, Brentwood, NY.

• Provide individual sessions consistent with client need, person-centered care, and best practices.
• Facilitate group sessions related to various topics including but not limited to: substance use, relapse prevention, trauma, life skills, stages of change, etc.
• Document all service delivery in the EHR promptly and consistent with insurance and stakeholder standards.
• Ensure that 70% of work hours are spent providing services.
• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, as well as individual and group supervision.
• Deescalate client crises when appropriate and report all incidents to site managers.
• Complete toxicology testing consistent with OASAS and Outreach policies.
• Attend speaking engagements or tabling events.
• Maintain training appropriate to role and credential/licensure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
