Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a bilingual MIG Welding Trainer to train entry-level academy students for welding techniques and safety on a direct-hire, on-site basis.

The trainer will blend classroom instruction with hands-on, VR-based and traditional learning methods to develop core welding skills, blueprint reading and basic math. Strong communication and independence are essential, with English and Spanish fluency required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Safety and HR training practices.
• Experience in Training, Teaching or Facilitating.
• Knowledge of Welding Technology and Blueprint reading.
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook proficiency.
• Ability to Commute.
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
• Previous weld, electrical and assembly background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with HR & safety team to identify and resolve issues and improve safety and training.
• Understand Fundamentals of Welding Technology and Blueprint reading.
• Training will blend classroom instruction and advanced technology training.
• Provide classroom instruction in basic math, tape measure reading, electrical basics and blueprint reading using books, videos, online manuals and VR training.
• Assist with on-the-job training by organizing procedures and coordinating trainer/trainee interactions.
• Monitor working procedures for safety and training-related issues and improvements.
• Deliver New Hire Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Work with HR & safety team that aids in the identification and resolution of issues or areas of improvement, training of employees, and overall awareness of everyday safety
• Understand Fundamentals of Welding Technology and Blueprint reading
• Training will be conducted in a learning environment that blends traditional classroom instruction and advance technology training.
• Classroom instruction of technical skills to be proficient in Basic Math, Tape Measure reading, basic Electrical, basic Blueprint reading, through Books, Videos, online manuals, virtual reality training and testing.
• Assist with on-the-job training in organizing procedures, coordinating trainer/trainee interaction and tracking
• Monitor working procedures for safety and training related issues and improvements
• New hire Safety Training
