Job summary

Basin Material Handling in Easley, SC is seeking a Full-time MIG Welder. This role reports to the Weld Supervisor and is part of the Weld department. The position starts at $19.50/hour with potential to earn up to an additional $2.50/hour in the first 90 days based on performance evaluations.

Candidates who perform well may see raises at 30, 60, and 90-day reviews, reflecting reliability and contributions to the team. Successful applicants must follow attendance and safety policies.

• Perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractional equivalents.
• Read a calibrated tape measure
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to read and interpret documents finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals

Responsibilities

• Manually guide electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle.
• Assist other departments as required/directed. May act as line leader, setting up lines, and checking weld quality of co-workers as required. Other duties as assigned.

of using various types of welding equipment. Responsible for maintaining quality. Responsible to the JobBoss process and reporting accurate quantities.
