Job summary

Express Employment International (US) is seeking a MIG Welder for our Sun Valley, CA location. This full-time, temp-to-hire role offers a 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule with overtime opportunities. Pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience.

The position involves welding on an assembly line, operating basic hand tools, and reading simple shop drawings. Applicants should have welding training and be able to work in a cold environment, with the ability to lift and handle parts.

Qualifications

• Technical training in welding with at least 6 months experience.
• Able to work 50 hours per week.
• CW certification in several welding processes is a plus but not required.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings.
• Basic knowledge of structural steel shapes, sizes, and grades.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Knowledge and respect of shop safety.
• Able to perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to communicate orally.
• Ability to work in cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using SMAW and GMAW.
• Operate basic hand tools and powered hand tools (drills, grinders).
• Operate equipment per company procedures.
• Use cutting torches, drills, grinders, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
• Report equipment needing servicing or repair.
• Complete assembly sheets accurately.
• Support Quality and Safety programs.
