Job summary

Madden Industrial Craftsmen Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an experienced Shop Welder (MIG) for structural steel fabrication. You will read blueprints, set up welds, and produce high-quality welds in a fast-paced shop.

This role requires 5+ years of welding experience, MIG and stick welding proficiency, and the ability to pass a hands-on weld test. We offer weekly pay and health benefits with long-term growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of welding experience in a shop setting.
• Strong MIG welding experience is required.
• Stick welding experience is required.
• Experience reading blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Must pass a hands-on weld test.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural and carbon steel components.
• Perform Stick welding as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Fit, fabricate, and assemble structural steel components.
• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate fabrication equipment, hand tools, grinders, plasma cutters, and power tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
