Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Monroe, NC is seeking experienced MIG Welders for a long-term opportunity. You will read blueprints, fit material, and produce high-quality welds on structural steel.

Welders will perform MIG welds on I-beams, columns, and plates, follow safety procedures, and may cross-train in other production areas. Overtime and some weekends are required; AWS certification opportunities and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of MIG welding experience.
• Structural steel welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints.
• Must be able to pass a hands-on weld test (flat, overhead, downhill).
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld structural steel, including I-beams, columns, and plates.
• Read blueprints, welding symbols, and layout specifications.
• Measure, lay out, and fit components accurately to 1/16".
• Perform flat, overhead, and downhill welds.
• Inspect work for quality and accuracy.
• Follow safety procedures and report equipment maintenance needs.
• Cross-train in other production areas as needed
