Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience preferred.
• Welding certification is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate welding equipment and related tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on metal components according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Inspect welded components to ensure proper weld quality, appearance, and dimensions.
• Identify and correct welding defects, including incomplete welds, porosity, and improper penetration.
• Perform grinding, cleaning, and other finishing work as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment and report any equipment issues or needed repairs. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Meet production goals while maintaining consistent quality standards.
• Perform other welding and production duties as assigned.
