Job summary

ManpowerGroup Sauk Valley Area is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to support welding operations, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include setting up and operating MIG equipment, adjusting parameters, reading blueprints, inspecting welds, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Must have MIG welding experience with multiple material thicknesses.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job travelers.
• Familiarity with basic computer tasks for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment.
• Adjust welding parameters (voltage, amperage, gas flow, wire feed, travel speed).
• Operate oxygen/acetylene torch as needed.
• Read and follow blueprints and job travelers.
• Measure components to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect welds and finished parts for quality.
• Support cross-training and assist other production areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
