Job summary

APX is seeking a dependable MIG Welder to support our fabrication shop operations. This role welds and assembles metal components based on specifications, reading blueprints, and thriving in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years MIG welding experience, can read calipers and tape measures, and works independently while contributing to a collaborative team. We offer health, dental, 401(k), and vacation pay as part of a competitive package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MIG welding.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
• Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to execute welding tasks accurately.
• Perform MIG welding, primarily on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel sheet metal components.
• Utilize grinders to smooth welds and remove excess material or spatter, ensuring precision and quality.
