Job summary

APX, a leading metal fabrication company in Indiana, seeks a dependable MIG Welder to support our fabrication shop. You will read blueprints, perform MIG welding on various metals, and finish welds using grinders to ensure precision and quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of MIG welding experience and can read technical drawings and use measuring tools. This is a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing role in a growing shop.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to guide welding tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

APX is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented MIG Welder to support our fabrication shop operations. This role is responsible for welding and assembling metal components based on specifications and production needs. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, consistent in quality, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to execute welding tasks accurately.
• Perform MIG welding, primarilyon mild steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel sheet metal components.
• Utilize grinders to smooth welds and remove excess material or spatter, ensuring precision and quality.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MIG welding.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
• Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing setting.
