Petersen Industries LLC, located in Lake Wales, FL, is seeking a Welder to fabricate and weld steel components for heavy equipment assemblies. You will read engineering drawings, follow welding specifications, and ensure weld quality meets internal and industry standards.

The role requires MIG welding of carbon steel, setup of welding equipment, and collaboration with fitters and quality personnel to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years MIG welding experience in manufacturing/heavy equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, welding symbols and work instructions
• Experience welding structural steel components
• Ability to safely operate welding equipment
• Basic math for measurements and layout

Responsabilités

• Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on carbon steel and structural components.
• Weld structural assemblies including frames, arms, mounting plates, outriggers, and support structures.
• Interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols; follow blueprints and work instructions.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, beveling, and cleaning surfaces.
• Set up and operate welding machines and related equipment.
• Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools for compliance.
• Maintain weld quality, penetration, and structural integrity.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
