Job summary

Gulf Coast Utility Contractors is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our shop team. You will perform MIG, TIG and stick welding on heavy equipment components, read blueprints, and fabricate parts from raw steel.

Relocation to Panama City, FL is required before starting. We offer competitive pay based on experience and a benefits package including health, life, vision, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding/fabrication experience, heavy equipment or industrial preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and weld symbols.
• Certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on heavy equipment components (buckets, frames, booms, etc.).
• Weld all types of metals (Carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Fabricate custom parts and structural assemblies from raw steel and components.
• Use a variety of tools including torches, grinders, and saws.
• Assist with rebuilds, wear part replacements, and structural repairs.
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability.
