Powell Industries is seeking a MIG Welder at our Southeast Houston facility. The role involves welding mild and stainless steel, reading drawings, and performing fittings to produce quality weldments in a shop setting.

The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of welding experience, basic English proficiency, and the ability to follow departmental procedures and safety guidelines. Schedule includes Monday-Thursday shifts with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of welding experience preferred.
• Proficient in MIG welding of mild and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld mild steel and stainless steel parts as per drawings.
• Perform basic fitting and adjust machines per department manuals.
• Grind welds and buff surfaces to meet cosmetic specs.
• Inspect welds and ensure dimensions match drawings.
• Follow safety rules and ISO procedures.
