Job summary

Rice Lake Weighing Systems is seeking a Welder for our Fernley, NV location. You will perform MIG welding, read blueprints, and operate the overhead crane and forklift while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 1st shift daytime, with 40 hours guaranteed and overtime as needed. High School diploma or GED required; welding experience or degree preferred. Good hand–eye coordination and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Welding degree or 2+ years welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documents.
• English reading and speaking proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead crane and forklift to move material.
• Perform MIG welding to company standards and expectations.
• Read blueprints to perform proper welds.
• Grind parts and prepare surfaces before/after welding.
• Work in a small group or independently to complete workload.
• Operate power tools and basic hand tools.
• Frequent liftings under 30 lb; occasional up to 50 lb.
