Job summary

Rice Lake Weighing Systems in Jasper, AL seeks a skilled welder/fabricator to join a small team. Duties include operating overhead crane and forklift, performing MIG welding to RLWS quality standards, reading blueprints, grinding and blasting parts.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; welding degree or 2+ years manufacturing welding experience; good English; willing to lift up to 50 lb; pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Welding degree or 2+ years of welding experience preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints and manufacturing docs.
• Good reading and speaking English required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the overhead crane and forklift to move material.
• Perform MIG welding to RLWS quality standards.
• Read blueprints to perform proper welds.
• Grind parts and occasionally blast parts before/after welding.
• Maintain safe work practices and PPE usage.
• Lift up to 50 lb as needed.
