Block Iron is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Madison, WI. This hands-on role involves MIG welding, fabricating hollow metal frames, and preparing doors for hardware and glass installation in accordance with work orders and templates.

You should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and measurements. Travel to jobsites and include back-up Non-CDL driver certification possible.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years MIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform MIG welding on hollow metal frame material and hardware.
• Assemble hollow metal frames and hardware per specifications.
• Operate cutting, grinding, sanding and related fabrication tools.
• Read blueprints and work orders accurately.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Travel to job sites for maintenance work as needed.
• Become a certified backup Non-CDL Driver.
