Block Iron & Supply Company in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication team. The role involves custom frame fabrication, cutting, punching, welding, grinding and finishing metal frames per work orders and templates. You will also prepare doors for hardware, light kits and glass installation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• 1-2 years MIG welding experience preferred.
• Read tape measures and blueprints accurately.
• Lift up to 50 lb independently (100 lb with assistance).
• Strong attention to detail and quality work.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Basic construction knowledge; hollow metal and hardware.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on hollow metal frame material and commercial hardware.
• Assemble hollow metal frames and hardware per specifications.
• Operate tools for cutting, grinding, sanding and related fabrication.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and project requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders and measurement tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Perform shop/warehouse tasks as needed based on business demands.
