Job summary

States Manufacturing LLC is seeking a Structural Welder in Dayton to set up and operate MIG welders for carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum. Expect 0-3 years' experience, and weld-related certifications or training along with operation of hoists, cranes, rigging, and forklifts.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, following assembly docs, and moving equipment safely while maintaining a clean shop and inventory.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of MIG welding experience.
• Welding certification OR relevant training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs regularly.
• High school diploma OR equivalent.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up MIG standard and pulse welders, selecting gas ratios.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Work with sheet metal, tube steel, channel, I-beam, and plate steel.
• Position, align, and fit components together using fixturing.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding according to blueprints and specifications.
• Use engineering and manufacturing documents (bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, and solid models).
• Operate hoists, cranes, riggings, and forklifts to move equipment from one location to another.
• Maintain shop inventory and cleanliness.
