Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in Welding.
• Proven experience as a Welder or similar role in metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with reading technical drawings and blueprints.
• Must be familiar with machines and the use of tips, nozzles and other machine issues.
• Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using MIG and other techniques to join or repair metal components.
• Interpret blueprints and welding symbols to ensure precise fabrication.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting tools, gases, and consumables.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure specifications before welding.
• Prepare metal surfaces and maintain welding equipment and PPE.
• Conduct welding tests and adjust processes for quality welds.
• Collaborate with team for efficient workflow and timely completion.
• Monitor inventory and report shortages to supervisor.
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
