IFAB Corp is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team in Gastonia, NC. You will fabricate and assemble metal structures using MIG and other techniques, following blueprints and welding symbols with strict attention to quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, welding training, and proven experience in metal fabrication. You will read drawings, set up welding equipment, inspect welds, and collaborate with colleagues to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in Welding.
• Proven experience as a Welder or similar role in metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with reading technical drawings and blueprints.
• Must be familiar with machines and the use of tips, nozzles and other machine issues.
• Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment effectively.

Responsabilités

• Perform welding tasks using MIG and other techniques to join or repair metal components.
• Interpret and follow drawings, blueprints and welding symbols for accurate fabrication.
• Set up and operate welding equipment; select tools, gases, and filler materials.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure specifications before welding.
• Prepare surfaces and clean weld areas to remove contaminants.
• Conduct welding tests to assess weld quality and adjust accordingly.
• Maintain and service welding equipment to ensure reliability.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely projects.
• Monitor inventory of welding materials and report shortages.
