Job summary

ExacTech North in Crystal Falls, MI is seeking a skilled MIG welder to join our new team on the 1st shift. You will weld and fabricate large steel parts, read blueprints to determine welding requirements, and use cranes to position components for welding.

We offer in-house training and a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for overtime and advancement.

Qualifications

• MIG welding of large steel pieces with metal- or flux-cored wire.
• Ability to read blueprints and machine drawings for welding specs.
• Understand pre-heat and post-heat weldments.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding with metal-cored and flux-cored wires to assemble large steel pieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Use disc grinders to smooth parts and ensure defects are minimized.
• Use overhead and jib cranes to position components for welding.
• Uphold ISO and OSHA standards applicable to responsibilities.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
