Job summary

Weiss Technik North America, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Production Associate to fabricate and assemble the test chamber’s structural frame. You will MIG weld steel components to print specifications and work under supervision to ensure quality and safety.

You will read blueprints, lay out parts, trim and finish welds, and coordinate with the Weld Department to maintain workflow. This is a full-time on-site position requiring attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• MIG/TIG welding fabrication experience on structural steel and sheet metal.
• Reads tape measure easily and performs basic math with decimals and fractions.
• Understanding blueprints/prints and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates welded sheet metal parts and structural steel frames to print specifications.
• MIG welds the test chamber frame and smooths welds for finish paint.
• Reads, interprets parts lists and prints; lays out holes and dimensions per prints.
• Maintains weld equipment and assists in training others as needed.
