Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced Welder to join a Richmond-based manufacturing and fabrication team. The role focuses on MIG welding, with TIG welding preferred, and requires reading blueprints and working with fabrication equipment to produce high-quality welded products.

The candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate safety compliance, and contribute to the production of steel components while maintaining craftsmanship and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding is required; TIG welding experience is preferred.
• Experience with metal fabrication and reading blueprints or weld symbols.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and fabrication prints.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weld, fit, and fabricate steel components to specification.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings for projects.
• Lay out, fit, align, and weld components according to specs.
• Perform finishing, grinding, and surface prep on welded assemblies.
• Operate fabrication equipment safely (plasma cutters, torches, grinders).
• Inspect welds for quality and compliance with standards.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
