Job summary

The Dixon Group in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Welder to join our production team. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on industrial components, ensure weld quality, and prepare materials to meet tight specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal welding program or apprenticeship preferred.
• Production experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols (AWS).
• Ability to lift and stand for extended periods; safety conscious.
• Welding certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform production-level MIG and TIG welding on industrial components.
• Use torches and grinding tools for prep and finishing welds.
• Complete pre-weld processes like sandblasting and basic machining for fit.
• Maintain clean work area and inspect welds for quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of welding equipment.
