Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking 2nd shift MIG/TIG Welders. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and perform MIG/TIG welds on steel and stainless components. This role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and teamwork to meet production standards.

The position is full-time with a shift premium. Overtime may be required to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Welding Certification from accredited training facility.
• Must be dependable and cooperative.
• Ability to read tape measure.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to read weld symbols.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Previous experience in MIG/TIG welding.
• Basic math including fractions.
• Ability to work regular schedules set forth by Management.

Responsibilities

• Set up welding machines based on the job at hand.
• Reads and interprets blueprints/drawings to determine welding requirements.
• MIG and TIG welds steel and stainless components as per drawings.
• Ensures work meets quality standards.
• Sets up welding cell for production run.
• Keeps work areas clean and organized and takes proper care of equipment.
• Follows duties assigned by Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintains attention to detail and focus on tasks.
• Collaborates with team to maximize productivity and efficiency.

MIG/TIG Welder Job Summary:

A growing manufacturer in Grand Rapids is adding 2nd shift welders to the team. These Welders will primarily be using TIG or MIG welding while using blueprints and drawings. MIG/TIG Welder Requirements:

• Sets up welding machines based on the job at hand
• Reads and interprets blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
• MIG and TIG welds steel and stainless components based on the specifics of the blueprints and or drawings
• Ensures work meets quality standards
• Sets up welding cell for production run
• Keeps work areas clean and organized and takes proper care of all equipment
• Follows all assigned duties assigned by either Team Lead or Supervisor
• Provides a great level of attention to detail and focuses on the given task
• Works with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

Schedule:2ndshift, Monday-Friday, 3:20 pm-11:40 pm, overtime as required

Pay: $27.58/HR-shift premium included
