Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a TIG Welder / Fabricator for our Kentwood, MI area facility on 1st shift. The role involves TIG welding of tubes and plates, interpreting engineered drawings, and fabricating parts with aluminum materials.

Candidates will measure raw materials, use shop equipment (shear, press brake, drill press, grinder), perform contour grinding, and generate replenishment orders for materials. Excellent independence is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of TIG/GTAW fabrication welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
• Own tools required (hood, welpers, grinder, chisels).
• Welding aluminum materials to specification.
• Experience with contour grinding and basic testing.

TIG Welder / Fabricator Job Summary:

A fast-paced manufacturing company is seeking a TIG (GTAW)welder to join their team on1stshift. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company where you can work independently and take the next step in your career!

TIG Welder / Fabricator Requirements:

• TIG (GTAW) welding tube and plate with a variety of aluminum materials
• Read and interpret engineered drawings to fabricate products
• Measure and fabricate raw materials utilizing a variety of equipment (shear, press brake, drill press, hand drill, grinder, etc)
• Perform metal finishing using contour grinding techniques
• Generate and create written replenishment orders for raw and vendor sourced materials

Schedule: 7am–3:30pm, Monday-Friday

Pay: $20/hr+based on experience

TIG Welder / Fabricator Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of TIG (GTAW)/Fabrication welding experience
• Previous experience utilizing fabrication equipment required (shear, press brake, drill press, etc)
• Must have own tools (welding hood, welpers, small grinder, hammer-chisel, fillet and V-WAC gauges)
• Must be competent and able to efficiently and precisely weld a variety of aluminum materials
• Must be able to read and interpret engineered drawings
• Must be able to duplicate template and sample materials
• Must have previous experience with contour grinding
• Basic mechanical skills required for safely and effectively testing certain components (pressure and leak test tanks)
• Ability to work independently
