Job summary

General ThermoDynamics, an API Heat Transfer Company, is seeking a Steel Welder (MIG/TIG) for 1st and 2nd shifts in Iron Ridge, WI. The role involves welding carbon and stainless steel components for heat exchangers, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality.

You will operate MIG and TIG welders, follow safety and 5S practices, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
• Ability to use measuring devices, including tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and welding specifications.
• Fabricate and assemble components according to engineering drawings and quality requirements.
• Inspect welded parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
• Perform rework and repairs when necessary.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality personnel, and team members to meet production goals.
