Job summary

General ThermoDynamics is seeking an experienced Aluminum MIG & TIG Welder for the 3rd shift at our Iron Ridge, Wisconsin facility. This role involves welding aluminum components and assemblies used in heat exchangers, with emphasis on quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of aluminum MIG/TIG welding experience, ability to read blueprints, and strong fabrication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 2 years of aluminum MIG/TIG welding experience.
• Experience welding thin-gauge aluminum.
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and drawings.
• Strong fabrication and assembly skills.
• Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures).

Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG weld aluminum components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding specs, and drawings.
• Fit, position, align, and secure parts prior to welding.
• Inspect welds for quality and specifications.
• Grind, finish, and rework as required.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment problems, and safety hazards.
• Work with supervisors and production team to meet schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
