Job summary

General ThermoDynamics, an API Heat Transfer Company, is seeking experienced Aluminum MIG & TIG Welders for 1st and 2nd shifts at our Iron Ridge, Wisconsin facility. The role focuses on welding aluminum components used in heat exchangers and related products.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, preparing parts, welding to specifications, and inspecting welds for quality. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with AWS certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of aluminum MIG and/or TIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and manufacturing drawings.
• Strong fabrication and assembly skills.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, welding specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Fit, position, align, and secure parts prior to welding.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Perform grinding, finishing, and rework as required.
• Use measuring devices and inspection tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
