Job summary

You will operate various welding devices, monitor machinery, and ensure surface quality through deburring and grinding. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial welding experience, ability to interpret plans, and attention to detail; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating as a commercial welder.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Current and valid certification a plus.
• Interprets blueprints and schematics to determine welding process.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other instructions to perform tasks.
• Perform MIG, TIG and other types of welds based on project needs.
• Select proper fillers for jobs based on experience or instructions.
• Conserve resources to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
• De-bur and grind metal to achieve proper surface texture.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
