Job summary

CorTech LLC is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift MIG Production Welder for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on MIG welding galvanized sheet metal from 20 gauge to 12 gauge and requires a successful hands-on weld test during the interview process.

Candidates should read and interpret blueprints, routers, and work instructions, and have strong measurement skills. A high school diploma/GED or 2–3 years’ related experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Strong MIG welding experience in production or manufacturing.
• Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal.
• Ability to maintain consistent, high-quality MIG welds.
• Ability to read and follow welding specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
• Ability to use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Basic math skills (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
• Good written and spoken English communication.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding machinery and equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
• Weld metal structures and fabricated equipment using MIG welding.
• Weld galvanized sheet metal from approx. 20 gauge to 12 gauge.
• Read job specs to determine machine settings and material requirements.
• Read and interpret drawings, routers, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to verify accuracy.
• Use basic measuring tools (ruler, tape measure).
• Maintain consistent weld quality and follow welding standards.
• Identify and correct weld defects as needed.
• Work effectively as part of a production team and maintain a clean area.
• Follow all safety procedures and requirements.
