Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MIG and flux core welding required.
• Vertical-up welding experience required.

• Experience with multi-pass welding techniques.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to safety.
• TIG Welder Certification preferred.
• Additional certification opportunities may be available through the employer.
• Must be able to successfully complete an on-site 2G weld test, which may include a horizontal-position butt weld on beveled 3/8” mild steel plate using multi-pass techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding using multi-pass techniques.
• Perform vertical-up and flux core welding.
• Weld on 3/8” mild steel plate.
• Produce quality welds that meet required specifications and safety standards.
• Perform mechanical assembly work, including assembly involving PVC components.
• Read and interpret prints, drawings, and specifications.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, penetration, undercut, and overall workmanship.
• Use mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills to complete fabrication and assembly tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
