Job summary

Flux Core Welder (FCAW) position in Waco, TX. Full-Time with shifts available. Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire depending on client needs. Competitive hourly rate DOE and weekly pay.

You will perform FCAW welding per drawings, read blueprints, set up machines, inspect welds, and maintain safety. The role requires proven FCAW experience and reliability, with PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as FCAW welder.
• Ability to read welding symbols and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of welding processes and fabrication techniques.
• Physically able to lift and perform demanding tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
• Reliable transportation and good attendance.
• Must pass weld test, background check, and drug screen.
• PPE required (weld hood, gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.)

Responsibilities

Schedule: Full-Time | Shifts available

Type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire (based on client needs)

A local manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Flux Core Welder (FCAW) to join their production team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing flux-cored arc welding on various metal components and structures in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality welds consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) on metal structures and components
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols
• Set up welding machines and adjust settings based on job specifications
• Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Use grinders, cutting torches, and hand tools as needed
• Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to meet daily goals
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety protocols
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and report issues to supervisors

Requirements

• Proven experience as aFlux Core Welder (FCAW)
• Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of welding processes, metals, and fabrication techniques
• Ability to lift up to [X lbs] and perform physically demanding tasks
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control
• Must have reliable transportation and good attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience welding in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• AWS certifications (optional but a plus)
