Job summary

Air Methods, a leader in air medical transport, seeks a Regional Relief Pilot for the Midwest to cover bases and ensure safe transport of crew and patients. Responsibilities include verifying airworthiness, strict FAR/AIM/GOM adherence, and effective coordination with medical teams.

Applicants must reside in the Midwest (KY, OH, IL, IN, MO, KS, AR), meet extensive flight-hour requirements, and hold appropriate FAA certificates.

Qualifications

• Two-year college or technical school and two to five years’ related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must meet minimum flight hour and medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft safely and legally.
• Completes pre-flight checks and daily flight log sign-off.
• Maintains authority over aircraft operations and safety of all on board.
• Familiar with medical interior, systems, and backup aircraft.
• Completes required documentation and flight planning on short notice.
• Participates in meetings and company initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
