Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a dynamic Michigan Executive Director and Midwest Partner to lead fundraising, conservation strategy, and program delivery across Michigan and the Midwest. This role requires engaging diverse stakeholders, guiding a large, multidisciplinary team, and advancing TNC's mission through high-level donor cultivation and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 7 years’ leadership experience in conservation, nonprofit, advocacy, or related field.
Strong fundraising experience with high-level donors preferred.
Fluent in English; excellent written and verbal communication.
Proven ability to lead a large, multidisciplinary team and manage complex programs.
Experience in fiscal management and sustainability planning.

Responsibilities

Lead Michigan and Midwest fundraising, conservation strategy, and program delivery.
Act as primary spokesperson for TNC in Michigan to diverse audiences.
Develop objectives and manage performance of a large team.
Cultivate and solicit high-level donors to meet fundraising goals.
Collaborate across teams to align regional work with national/global priorities.
