Job summary

Buckeye Partners seeks a Technician I to join our team in the oil & gas midstream sector. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across pump stations, pipeline facilities and delivery terminals.

Strong candidates have a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, with PLC troubleshooting and SCADA familiarity; familiarity with JDE is a plus. This on-site position requires reliable attendance and ability to work with contractors and operations staff.

Qualifications

Two-year associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience in pipeline, terminal or plant operations and maintenance required.
Experience installing or troubleshooting PLCs (B&R, Siemens, Allen Bradley) preferred.
Experience with measurement of liquids or gas preferred.
Must reside within 45 minutes driving time of the work location.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment at pump stations, remote sites and delivery terminals.
Plan, estimate, schedule and cost-control maintenance projects.
Perform regulatory and company inspections per manuals and JDE system.
Manage outside contractors and coordinate facility upgrades.
Train operations personnel on new equipment and software.
Document equipment records and work performed.
